Love is in the Air

What is the true meaning of Valentines Day. Well, there is a beautiful, true story as to why it's a holiday I'll share with you. So, the legend contends that St. Valentine was a priest who served during the third Century in Rome. When Emperor Claudius II decided that single men made better soldiers than those with wives and families, he outlawed marriage for young men. Valentine, realizing the injustice of the decree, defied Claudius and continued to perform marriages for young lovers in secret. When Valentine's actions were discovered, Claudius ordered that he be put to death. And he was killed on February 14 on Via Flaminia in the north of Rome. So it's a holiday to honor his passion and acceptance of love in such a difficult and "duty-filled" time. On this day we're supposed to acknowledge the love we have in our own lives as a tribute to him, for St. Valentine's ultimate sacrifice for love all those years ago ❤
Happy Valentine's Day! Spread LOVE!
