Pumpkin spice, and everything nice, that’s what fall is made of! Since fall began, I have been dying to write about fall skin and all the wonderful changes the new season brings us! Here in sunny Southern California, however, the heat has kept our summer vibes going well into October.
Whether you’re feeling the weather change or not, you’ve likely experienced a change in your routine, with kids going back to school, the sad end to summer vacations, and less time spent outdoors worshiping the sun. If you’re lucky enough to still be in summer mode, soak up that vitamin D, and remember your sun block!
For those of us ready to welcome fall, embrace the opportunities it brings to modify your skin routine and transform that sun-beat skin! Here are some of my favorite ‘opportunities’ fall brings this time each year:
Rejuvenate with a pumpkin enzyme peel. Let the professional’s reveal your freshest skin after the havoc the summer month’s wreak on your face. A pumpkin-based treatment will help with your skin’s texture and you will love the immediate brightness to your complexion!
Switch out that day cream to a moisturizer heavy with nutrients that really gives back. Weather changes the amount of oil your skin will produce, and you may find a more emollient cream is just right for this time of year.
Consider body treatments! Professional peels and at-home products for your body make all the difference this season. Keep warm, and stay soft from head to toe.
Welcome the masque craze and try a new weekly treatment at home. Vitamin rich, purifying, hydrating masques compliment your daily routine, and add to your overall glow. Be cautious with inexpensive sheet masques, we have seen some horrible reactions to these, and instead pick up a professionally recommended masque.
Soon, it will be undeniable that fall is here and certain that winter is coming…
Here at The Brow and Skin Studio, we want to acknowledge that the transition from summer to fall this year has also brought tragedy to the United States, and the world. Victims of the hurricane’s, fires, earthquakes, and shootings may be unable to join us in our joy for the fall season. We stand with you, support you, and wish for the world’s speedy recovery from each travesty that has occurred recently.
